Native Seattlite Jake Bergevin joins the ranks of many successful hyphenates as a singer-trumpet player. Like Chet Baker or Louis Prima, he has continued to refine his craft in both arenas and continues to play regularly both as headliner and sideman. His latest work features mysterious and moody ballads and bossa novas with a generous dose of vocalese and soaring solos. Jake’s evening at KPC is sure to be a very romantic, thoughtful and extremely musical performance.
