Doktor Kaboom!
It’s Just Rocket Science: fun, engaging demonstrations of the physical sciences that will make you laugh until you cry

Doktor Kaboom! takes his audience on an amazing educational tour of the modern scientific method, using humor and comedy to demonstrate spectacular applications of the physical sciences.
Doktor Kaboom will be domonstrating Newton's first and thirs Laws of Motion, Centripetal Force, Chemical Reactions, and his brand new Rocket Car! There is also a fun (yes, fun) piece on Mathematics and Patterns! A question-and-answer session will follow the performance.
Popovich comedy pet theatre
Cats and dogs -- every one a rescue animal -- live in performance

The World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is a family-oriented blend of the unique comedy and juggling skills of Gregory Popovich, and the extraordinary talents of his performing pets. Each of the show's 15 cats and 10 dogs were once strays, rescued from animal shelters. Now, they love to show off onstage - by performing a variety of stunts and skits!
Audiences will be delighted to see this extravaganza of European-style clowns, amazing juggling and balancing acts, and of course, very talented performing pets. It's a show that both adults and kids of all ages enjoy!
NORMAN FOOTE
Hilarious ventriloquist, songwriter, and amazing large-size puppeteer

This celebrated Canadian entertainer has created a special niche in the music world and amassed a cross-generational following. Norman Foote’s musicality is like no other mixing clever hooks, witty wordplay and comedy all to great effect. His accolades include SOCAN’s Best Songwriter Award, US Parents’ Choice Awards, and National Publications Parenting Awards’ Gold Award, and most recently a JUNO. Norman has received critical acclaim for his clever songs and engaging concert performances. He has written for Walt Disney Records, Shari Lewis, CBC's syndicated TV show Scoop and Doozie, KOBA's production of Nelvana's Little Bear Live and Backyardigans Live.
Norman Foote received his first guitar from his parents at the age of 11. Influenced by the Beatles, Hank Williams, and Elvis, he soon switched to the electric guitar. This led to performing with garage bands throughout his high school career. At the age of 20, Foote left home to travel Australia and New Zealand and it was while he was abroad and performing with a travelling theatre group in New South Wales, Australia that Foote discovered his passion for puppetry and slapstick comedy.

UMO Ensemble goes Zen - the Northwest's most acclaimed physical theatre company brings its irreverent approach to ancient tales of wonder. Red nose monk clowns tackle Buddhist, Zen, and Sufi stories through mask, puppets, music, laughter - and breathtaking physical skill. The UMO Ensemble monk clowns each tackle a different life problem while dangling from a rope, juggling, balancing, singing, and clowning. A question-and-answer session will follow the performance.

Funny, heart-breaking, and action-packed adaptation designed especially for the 9th grade

Shakespeare can be difficult. Nothing enhances compehension of our language's greatest playwright ike a professional, student-oriented live performance. Seattle Shakespeare Company has edited Romeo & Juliet down to its essential components while expertly preserving the timeless story and most beautiful passages. It has been doing this important work, to great accolades, for 20 years. A question-and-answer session will follow the performance.

Travel

Traveling to Kirkland Performance Center is easy. There is ample school bus parking on the North side of Peter Kirk Park and a drop-off zone by the main theatre doors. For chaperones and carpools, there is a free garage beneath the Kirkland Library less than a block away. KPC is one block away from the Kirkland Transit Center, with bus service from Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland and more.
KPC is located at 350 Kirkland Ave, Kirkland WA 98033.
Accessibility
Students who are hard of hearing or who have difficulty with stairs will be very comfortable in our theatre. Just let KPC staff know of any needed accommodations when you make your reservation.
