The Kanreki Concert: Borrowing from the Chinese tradition of “Kanreki” – the honoring of one’s 60th birthday followed by a year devoted to personal reflection – singer/songwriter David Duvall is celebrating the release of his latest two CD’s: OCCASIONAL SPELLS OF CLARITY and OBSERVATION & COMMENTARY with a concert featuring excerpts from both CD’s. Joining Mr. Duvall will be guest vocalists Laurie Clothier, Stephanie Anne Johnson, Kim Maguire and Tanesha Ross, cellist Margaret Thorndill, along with a live 9-piece band comprised of many of Seattle’s finest jazz and rock musicians.

Other surprise guests are also scheduled to appear. The concert is a fund-raiser for two charitable organizations: Jewish Voice For Peace – Network Against Islamophobia and Organization for Refugee Asylum & Migration.

Artist Bio

David Duvall is a singer/songwriter based in the greater Seattle area. He is a two-time Emmy-nominated composer (with 1 win) who has spent 40 years working in music, television and theatre performing across the US, Canada and the UK. Last year he released an Inspirational CD “OCCASIONAL SPELLS OF CLARITY” to great critical acclaim. His latest CD, “OBSERVATION & COMMENTARY”  (a 3-CD set) is scheduled for release in November 2017.
