Kirkland Performance Center presents...
Conservatives are at a turning point. Does Donald Trump strengthen the Republican party or is he destroying it for future generations? Maybe neither. Republicans of all stripes have different opinions. What’s yours? Join AM 770 KTTH for a town hall Freedom Series event with Michael Medved, Todd Herman and Jack Armstrong & Joe Getty from The Armstrong and Getty Show.
Jack Armstrong and Joe Getty of “The Armstrong & Getty Show”: The Armstrong & Getty Show, The Voice of the West, is dedicated to the idea that you can be informed and involved without always being angry. Not only is laughter the best medicine, it’s a great weapon. Their political loyalty is with the people. We, the People… who are getting ripped off mercilessly by the political class. Jack Armstrong and Joe Getty launched an early version of The Armstrong & Getty Show in Wichita, KS in 1992. They moved the show to Charlotte, NC in 1994 then to Sacramento, CA in 1996. In 1998 they left music radio for talk radio on TALK 650 KSTE in Sacramento. They took the morning show on KSTE from virtually last in the ratings to first within a few years. They added TALK 910 KKSF, San Francisco (then known as KNEW) in 2003 and have gone on to be a consistent top-10 show in the San Francisco Bay Area. The A & G Show also became a TV simulcast for a successful, 5-year run in both the Bay Area and Sacramento.
Michael Medved: Michael Medved graduated with honors from Yale then attended Yale law school with classmates Bill and Hillary Clinton. Medved has worked as a screen writer in Hollywood, reviewed movies for CNN, and has been chief film critic for the New York Post. He co-hosted “Sneak Previews”, a national weekly TV movie review show on PBS for twelve years and is a columnist for USA Today. He’s authored eight non-fiction books including: What Really Happened to the Class of ‘65? (which was the basis for a popular TV series on NBC), The Shadow Presidents (a definitive history of the White House Chiefs of Staff), his most influential and controversial book Hollywood Vs. America (the best-selling indictment of the entertainment industry), and together with his wife, a clinical psychologist, they wrote Saving Childhood: Protecting Our Children From the National Assault on Innocence. Medved has also been a frequent guest on such shows as Larry King Live, Nightline, Oprah, David Letterman and Good Morning America.
All his experience withstanding, Michael Medved is also a local Seattle radio host with a daily three hour nationally syndicated program that emphasizes the intersection of pop culture and politics. Medved’s show reaches 1.5 million people in 130 markets coast to coast. Michael lives in Seattle with his wife and three children. As a local host, Medved is available for live endorsement commercials and live remote broadcasts.
Todd Herman: Todd Herman is a lifetime Washingtonian who deeply loves Western Washington despite its one-party-rule induced oddities, difficulties and aromas. He has described his career—talk radio host, serial technology start-up Founder and CEO, Fortune 500 technology executive, political digital strategist and angel investor—as applied iconoclasm; he is a change-agent. From a background in broadcasting sales and talk radio, Herman co-founded and served as CEO of the first Internet radio network, theDial which broke new ground in online content syndication, advertising technology, music licensing and revenue generation from traditional radio budgets. At Microsoft, Herman started the MSN Video business unit and lead its marketing, strategy and revenue growth from zero to $60 million in three years; he helped create the first broad-scale movement of television dollars to online video and green lighted some of the first widely distributed made-for-broadband programming and established the business model that drives the sector today. Shortly after his post Microsoft start-up received a prestigious DEMOgod award, Herman entered the field of politics as Chief Digital Strategist of the RNC where his work in modernizing the RNC’s technology approach was praised by Mashable and, of all sources, Mother Jones. His experience in D.C. was a life changing moment for him. Left with a deep depression from what he witnessed in the Capital, he came to realize that nothing needs to change more than Washington D.C. and its business as usual method of selling Americans their own money while taking away their freedoms. Depression became focus and excitement when Herman was offered the opportunity to rediscover his first love in media: talk radio on KTTH, Seattle’s Conservative Talk Station. Todd Herman’s show can be heard 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM on AM 770. KTTH. Herman makes his home near Seattle and nothing he has ever done compares with the honor of being his Wife’s husband and his Daughter’s Dad.
