Sometimes a hustler. Frequently incorrigible. Often a rascal.
What are the odds that an aimless kid from old-school Ballard would grow up to become Seattle’s most fiery and most listened-to radio talk show host? Find out when you reserve a seat as KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson introduces you to the remarkable people who helped shape his improbable career. Get tickets to be part of this live, in-person audience – and be ready to jump-start the way you look at goal-setting in your life.
VIP Ticket includes entrance to a private reception and chance to meet Dori Monson prior to the show, a KIRO swag bag, plus reserved seating. VIP Attendees will be contacted with additional instructions prior to April 12.
When you tune into The Dori Monson Show on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, prepare for a wild noon-3 p.m. weekday ride through news, pop culture, and talk you’re not going to hear anywhere else.
Groomed for the job on the “Mean Streets of Ballard,” Monson got his first taste of Seattle radio while dialed in on his transistor radio, from high atop his backyard treehouse. Seattle’s own native son/host on the region’s top news/talk station, Monson is a Ballard High School and University of Washington graduate – with a perspective that only a lifetime Seattle resident can offer.
Hard-hitting, side-splitting and (occasionally) gut-wrenching talk about local issues that affect the lives of listeners is part of each day’s show. Monson is a watchdog of government and a passionate advocate for personal responsibility. Fair to a fault, his show has been live from all eight of the most recent Republican and Democratic national conventions.
During the NFL season, Monson hosts pre-, halftime, and post-game shoes on the Seahawks Radio Network which airs on 50 stations in five states, Canada and locally on KIRO Radio- where his coverage was heard live during all three Seahawks Super Bowl appearances.
Described by some as a pit bull, Monson is fiercely protective of those he loves, and vicious to those who cross him. His listeners know that he’s really more like a golden retriever: loyal and drooling pure love.
