RADIO DRAMA

Harry Nile and Hilary Caine will be sharing the bill at this live recording session. Things are shaking up a bit this time out with the premier live recording of an episode of “The Hilary Caine Mysteries.” Until now Hilary has only appeared at Kirkland as a part of a “special” IE: the 500th episode of Imagination Theatre or the 15th anniversary show of IT, never in a story from her own series. However on March 5th, Karen Heaven and Randy Hoffmeyer star in a play written especially for presentation at KPC. It’s called “Practice to Deceive,” a tale of black mail and murder with a touch P. G. Wodehouse thrown in for good measure. Special guest star Richard Sanders of “WKRP IN CINCINNATTI” will be joining in the adventure.

This is all after the break and the brand new chapter of “War Comes to Harry Nile,” the series that answers the question of exactly what Harry did during World War II. In 1943 our boy took a job as head of security at a defense plant that took up most of his time. However, at night and on the weekends he was still open to taking cases as a private detective. In this 12th chapter we find Harry being employed by a man with too much money and too many cars one of which has been stolen, a rare 1935 Auburn 851 supercharged boat-tailed speedster. There are plenty of suspects but even then Harry’s not sure the whole thing sits right. Why won’t the guy who has hired him tell Harry where he got the car and from whom?

Larry Albert stars as Harry with guest star Frank Buxton (The Odd Couple, Lavern and Shirley) as a shifty garage mechanic. Plus at the opening of the play we’ll be introducing a young actor making the first of what we hope will be a life’s career of professional appearances.
