RADIO DRAMA

A delightful evening of fun on the radio for the whole family! Five times each season Jim French’s radio dramas are recorded life on the KPC stage. Whether it is a Sherlock Holmes adaptation or an episode of Harry Nile, you can always expect a double-bill with Imagination Theater—suspense, adventure, and of course, mystery!

HARRY NILE, SHERLOCK HOLMES, RAFFLES AND HILARY CAINE ALL ON THE SAME STAGE

Karen Heaven (The Hilary Caine Mysteries) and John Armstrong (Raffles, the Gentleman Thief) will join John Patrick Lowrie and Lawrence Albert on stage in a presentation of a specially written adaptation of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle classic Sherlock Holmes adventure The Illustrious Client. Dramatized by British writer M. J. Elliott with both Karen and John in mind this will be the first time these four actors have appeared together at KPC since the well remembered 500th episode recording session back in September of 2005, plus this will be Karen’s first performance in front of a KPC audience in a role other then Hilary. Joining these four will of course be the marvelous Dennis Bateman and a new find for us talented Kira Lauren.

The Illustrious Client is one of Doyle’s darker stories and deals with a subject all to common today in real life, serial killings, but done in the tasteful style of the Victorian Age. However, before we get to that play Harry Nile will open his files and take everyone through “The Case of the Busy Body.” This is a murder mystery with a touch of Hamlet tossed in for flavor. Larry Albert returns as Harry with Dennis Bateman, Peter Kelley, Susanna Burney and Norman Newkirk joining in the fun. As usual Andee and Jody will be manning the sales table in the lobby with several new items on hand.
