10 Year Anniversary Celebration! June 6-8 During Kirkland Performance Center's opening week in 1998, we felt it was important to have a Community Open House. We did this, not only as an introduction to our new venue, but as a thank you to the hundreds of community members who worked for a decade to bring this dream to life. More than 2,700 people experienced KPC for the first time that day. Now, a decade later, after more than 2,500 events and 700,000 attendees, we think another thank-you is in order. June 6 & 7 - Bobby McFerrin
Bobby McFerrin is one of the natural wonders of the music world. A ten-time Grammy Award-winner with a four-octave range, he is one of the world’s best-known vocal innovators and improvisers, a world-renowned classical conductor, the creator of “Don’t Worry Be Happy” (one of the most popular songs of the 20th century), and a passionate spokesman for music education. His recordings have sold over 20 million copies, and his collaborations – including those with Yo-Yo Ma, Chick Corea, the Vienna Philharmonic, and Herbie Hancock – have established him as an ambassador of both the classical and the jazz worlds. Come celebrate KPC’s 10th Anniversary with this special solo performance that will light up the stage.
