Seattle-native and multi-Instrumentalist, Composer, Orchestrator, and Violinist, Andrew Joslyn is a contributing songwriter and composer on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ 4x Grammy award winning album, “The Heist”, and contributed to their most recent project, “This Unruly Mess I’ve Made,” has performed on The Grammy Awards, The American Music Awards and The Tonight Show, toured with folk legend Judy Collins, and has had his work performed by ensembles nationwide. His formative years were spent studying classical music.
Now a seasoned performer, composer, and film scorer and, in addition to his work with Macklemore, has worked with some of the most iconic Northwest musicians and beyond, including David Bazan (Pedro the Lion), Mark Lanegan (Queens of the Stone Age), Duff McKagan (Guns N Roses), Doug Martsch (Built to Spill), Tim Lopez (Plain White T’s), DJ Spooky, Tom Chaplin (Keane), Shelby Earl, Kygo, Odesza, Audra Boo (Fly Moon Royalty), Will Jordan, Billy McCarthy (Augustines), Eric Anderson (Cataldo), Whitney Lyman, and the Seattle Rock Orchestra.
You may not want to miss Andrew Joslyn’s first performance at the KPC. Andrew’s music is best described as Orchestral Pop, sophisticated, magical genre-bending music that touches on a variety of styles from Classical to Pop, leading the audience on an extraordinary, cinematic musical journey. His Passenger Ensemble including the Passenger String Quartet, other instruments and vocals, will perform selections from his new, very well-received, solo album, Awake at the Bottom of the Ocean, plus other musical surprises that only an artist as unique and engaging as Andrew Joslyn can share with an audience.

Andrew’s first solo CD, a stunning collection of genre bending, Orchestral Pop called, Awake at the Bottom of the Ocean, is garnering great reviews, including Paste, Yahoo Music, Seattle Weekly, Nada Mucho, SMI and Afropunk. His music & interviews has been featured on KEXP and their Music That Matters Podcast, KBCS, KSER, KIRO FM and KUOW/NPR.
Andrew just completed his second score for a Hollywood film, Abilene, a western about the life of Wild Bill Hickok starring Kris Kristofferson, Bruce Dern, Luke Hemsworth and Trace Adkins. His first was a movie called American Violence, released globally in 2016.
