Kirkland Performance Center Announces Final Phase of “Elevate KPC” Campaign with $1 Million to Go and “Take Your Seats” Initiative. Community Invited to Help Complete Campaign and Secure the Future of KPC.

Kirkland, WA, January 2025 – Kirkland Performance Center (KPC) is thrilled to announce the final phase of its Elevate KPC campaign, with just under $1 million remaining of its $4.6 million goal. This critical renovation and fundraising effort will enhance KPC’s facilities, expand programming, and ensure the continued success of the center’s mission to bring world-class arts and cultural experiences to the Eastside, King, and Snohomish Counties and beyond.

Since its opening in 1998, KPC has been a cultural cornerstone, welcoming more than 1.9 million visitors, presenting 6,000+ performances, and providing arts education to more than 288,000 youth. Looking ahead to the next 25 years, the Elevate KPC campaign represents the most significant fundraising initiative since the center’s original opening to ensure KPC remains a vibrant space for the community.

With $3.6 million raised so far through generous contributions from the State of Washington, the City of Kirkland, local corporate partners, and individual donors, KPC is now inviting the community to help close the final gap. Every donation, including seat sponsorships, brings KPC closer to achieving its $4.6 million goal and funds critical safety upgrades, such as improved rigging and electrical systems, while introducing state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and staging technology. In addition, KPC plans to replace its auditorium seating, renovate its lobby, and enhance accessibility.

“We are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and now we’re within reach of completing this essential project,” said Jeff Lockhart, Executive Director of KPC. “With only $1 million left to raise, we’re calling on everyone to donate and ‘take your seats’ to support KPC. “We are deeply grateful to all who have supported this campaign so far,” “Now, in this final push, we need the help of our community.”
