About the Artist

“A true band of brothers from other mothers. Four great musicians, visibly having fun and creating an outstanding modern-retro rock sound!!! Lui Williams solidly pumping the blood into the heart of his creative, but not over flourished, backbeat. Jeff Eason and his Ten Fingers of Low End Doom, working his beautiful bass tones to a perfect rhythm, while making your skeleton rattle. Lance McKay is the secret weapon, reviving a sound that has been lost in today’s modern rock, tasteful keys with an organ sound that are a must listen on headphones for full appreciation. Glenn Cannon is the current King of Rock in the Seattle area scene. Glenn’s intelligent songwriting truly expresses his love of music, and gives a nod to 70’s era Arena Rock, while staying in the lane of the current rock sound. Moreover, his dirty six string razor play promotes visions of great guitarists, such as Robin Trower, Billy Gibbons, and Brian May. Glenn Cannon and the Damage Done is a must listen, and a definite must see in concert!”

– Christopher Walkin Wilcox – This Week in Seattle Rock Podcast.

When four of Seattle’s top musicians decided to team up; the result was the new band: Glenn Cannon and the Damage Done. Glenn Cannon (of Windowpane & Bruiser Brody ~ Guitar, Vocals), Lance McKay (of Surreal Sutra, Dave Brock’s Doors Experience, Epic Queen, Black Ant Army, Dire Fire ~ Keys), Jeff Eason (of Casualty of God, Larry Mitchell, The Flood, Scream Radio, Lifelike Feel ~ Bass) & Lui Williams (of Out From Underneath, Larry Mitchell, Late September Dogs ~ Drums) wasted no time. They entered the studio with Glenn’s long time friend, producer and musical co-conspirator Brett Eliason to track what became “Devil in the Sunshine”. The album dropped in July of 2019 and immediately captured the hearts of the Seattle music scene. Via the four players popularity from previous projects and deep roots in the Seattle music community a built in and rabid fan base was anxiously awaiting their debut. The group’s album release party at Seattle’s legendary Crocodile was a standing room only affair. KISW 99.9FM Seattle’s Premier Rock Station featured the band’s new material on air and went on to showcase the group at ‘KISW Live Day’ the station’s award-winning yearly broadcast event which averages 600,000 plus listeners.

In the months that followed the release the 4 worked the region hard growing their following; playing both festival and club events throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho. The response to the band’s amazing live shows and new material was overwhelming. “Devil in the Sunshine” is an album that spans multiple genres and flavors. From Led Zeppelin to Muse, Pink Floyd to Royal Blood, Robin Trower to Pearl Jam, The Beatles to Alice in Chains; Glenn Cannon and the Damage Done’s throwback rock vibe with modern radio rock and even pop sensibilities struck a deep chord with music lovers and fans of live music alike.

At years end (2019) the group decided to return to the studio to track two singles as free “thank you” releases to their fans. Wanting to do something unique and outside the box they decided to re-work the Cyndi Lauper classic “Time After Time” as well as capture Fiona Apple’s hit “Criminal”. The intention was to showcase just how diverse the band could be as well as hint to fans that the forthcoming material could have an even broader scope than the bands initial release. The response to the two singles was incredible and the songs again were immediately featured on KISW. Film maker Ryan Healy (HempFilms) documented the band’s studio time and cut the footage into two music videos which follow the band recording the two singles.
